About The Raised Beds
                  Gardening Tips (coming Soon)

It's hard to believe it's already our third year gardening in 2010!!! It's really exciting news and we're just about ready to plant and are happy if you are interested in joining!

Last year the community worked hard to build 13 new raised beds and two tilled plots for the community gardens!  Planting will hopefully began the second week of June and we had lots that grew!

Gardeners: If you are looking for a plot of land to grow some vegetables come join us at the community garden!  Are you looking to save? Are you looking to meet some new great people? Do you wish you had some land to grow produce?  Don’t worry if you’ve never gardened before the community gardens are lots of fun and the program listens to the expert gardeners to make sure everyone grows lots of food.  Last year we had an overflow of tomatoes and learned how to make salsa with it!  If you are interested in being a part of the community gardens we have some excellent new beds being built just for you.  Please call Chris at (902) 867 5270 or e-mail at voicesantigonish@gmail.com for more information.

Volunteers: Do you know a lot about gardening? Do you have some great tips?  Can you use a hammar and a nail?  Feel free to let us know what they are or come by to help out!  Please call Chris at 867-5270 or e-mail at voicesantigonish@gmail.com
