The individuals involved in the Anthill Group have acted as a voice for Nova Scotia's environment for many years, often working as individuals and in collaboration with other community members and informal groups.
With the growing need for solidifying a connection to deeper values of interdependance, compassion for others, respect for the integrity of natural systems and respect for the interests of future generations, many of us saw a need to develop formal groups and community engagement models.
In January 2009, the Anthill Groups came together to work in a more collaborative way to build a healthier, more sustainable Nova Scotia with special attention to the communities in and around Antigonish, Nova Scotia. We gratefully accept all donations to support our work - in many ways we can not do this work with out your help. Your gifts ensure we can maintain a strong independent voice.
1% for the Planet – Businesses, consider donating 1% of your profits to the one of the groups within the Anthill group and affiliate yourself with this organization.
Bequest – To ensure a sustainable province for your children, and their children's children, please remember the Anthill Group in your will, or through a living trust. Endowments are a stable source of ongoing funding that will ensure our voice remains independent for years to come.
Inkind gifts – Goods or services donated for fundraisers or auctions, prizes for other activities, printing services, maintenance services, art, and more. Please call one of our group co-ordinator if you'd like to make an inkind donation to ensure we are able to utilize your gift.
A number of the Anthill Group organizations have applications in for Registered Charity status: Tax receipts will be issued for donations unless otherwise specified.
