  •  Antigonish International Film Festival Fiday October 21 to Saturday October 22nd.A variety of  thought provoking films were shown. The AHWA sponsored OIL IN EDEN on Saturday 11 AM to 12:15 at the Coady International Institute West Wing, Desmond Oval.
  • 2011, June 8th -- AHWA Annual General Meeting, guest speaker Dr. Dan Utting "Coastal environments and change, southwest St. Georges Bay".  Community Room, Antigonish Public Library, Main St. Antigonish, 7:00 PM.

  • 2011, March 22 -- Lunch and Learn: "Local Water Issues," a presentation by the Antigonish Harbour Watershed Association, 12:30 - 1:30, Dennis Hall, St. Francis Xavier University.
  • 2011, March 15 -- Leslie Buckland-Nicks and Doreen Smith will give a slide presentation and talk on Coastal Erosion, 7:30 PM, Council Chambers, 285 Beech Hill Road, Antigonish County.  The Illustrated Presentation is a joint project between the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence Coalition on Sustainability and the AHWA. It will touch on the monitoring of coastal erosion, explain the natural process of coastal erosion, and explore strategies to protect property and natural coastal habitats.
  • 2010, June 28 -- Annual General Meeting in Room 236 J Bruce Brown building (StFX campus), Ian McCallum, an environmental analyst with NS Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal will give a talk on "Environmental Assessment Fallacies."
  • 2010, May 12 -- “Living by Water” Panel Discussion: Good practices for healthy waterways, 7:00 PM, St. James United Church
  • 2010, March 26-27 -- Provincial Watershed Caucus Symposium.  Heather Mayhew will be attending on behalf of the AHWA.  Others are invited to attend as well.
  • 2009, November 3 -- Tony Miller participated on behalof of the AHWA in the consultation on the Nova Scotia Wetlands Conservation Policy: http://www.gov.ns.ca/nse/wetland/conservation.policy.as
